Detective Bureau

Genesee Township Detective Bureau is responsible for taking a case after the report is filed by a patrolman.  Detectives investigate the alleged crime(s) by interviewing suspect(s) and following up with victims.  The dectective will, if the case is substantiated, take the case to the prosecutor for a warrant.  If a warrant is obtained it's taken to a judge to be sworn out.

The Detective will see the case through to the sentancing phase of the court

There are currently three detectives handling all cases generated in the Charter Township of Genesee. A reserve detective, retired Genesee County Sheriff's Department Det. Gerald Parks handles all cold cases.
