About Us:

Genesee Township is located in Mid-Michigan on the Northeast corner of the city of Flint.  Genesee Township is 28.5 sq. miles and has 24,125 residents.  Genesee Township Police Department employs 25 full-time sworn police officers and 1 part-time officer.  The department also employs 3 full-time secretaries and several part-time dispatchers.

Our mission is to provide an exemplary level of service and protection to the residents and businesses of the Charter Township of Genesee, and to all those who may visit, work in, or travel through our community.

We will serve the community through professional conduct at all times and the enforcement of the law with respect for the rights of all people, to assure a safe and secure environment for all and to enhance the quality of life in the Charter Township of Genesee.
